What's the difference in the way you hate and God's hate? Also see Luke 14:26. We must love Christ above everything and everyone. Yet people make God's hate into an excuse to hate others. It's about a one on one relationship with him. This is why the Lord confirmed Peter three times by asking him lovest thou me more than these? ( the other disciples) it didn't mean he should hate them in our sense , but love Jesus more so he could better love his fellow man, and his fellow brethren.
