If you wear anything other than daily disposables, and you're a contact lens beginner, you'll need to learn how to clean your contact lenses and lens case. Just a few simple steps and a little practice and you'll be a contacts cleaning pro. You'll need a towel (lint-free if possible), multi-purpose contact lens solution and your contact lens case. 1. Wash and dry your hands. If you have lotion-free soap, that's best. 2. Put a towel over the sink so your lens doesn't go down the drain if you drop it. 3. Take out one of your contacts and put it in your hand so it looks like a little bowl. 4. Squeeze a little solution into your hand and rub your fingers over the lens for fifteen seconds. 5. Pick up your lens by pinching the sides together. Squirt solution over it to rinse both sides. 6. Put your lens into a clean, dry case and fill it with solution until the lens is covered. Put the cap on and let it soak. The next morning, throw away the solution from the night before. Then squeeze a little solution into to each cup of your case and rub your finger around. Throw away that solution and rise one last time. Leave your case upside down with the caps off so it can air dry. Replace your lens case every three months.
